Patient transport

Not every journey is the same: sometimes the patient simply needs to get there, and sometimes continuous supervision is needed on the way. The level of patient transport is therefore set by the patient’s condition, not by the length of the route.

Simple patient transport

Transport of a patient in a stable condition to hospital, to an examination, treatment or check-up, or home. The journey is made in a basic ambulance with a paramedic and an ambulance driver.

Supervised patient transport

If the patient’s condition needs supervision during the journey, we carry out supervised transport: monitoring throughout, with the treatment equipment appropriate to the condition and, where necessary, a senior paramedic or doctor on board.

Transport requiring emergency standby

The highest level is transport with an advanced life support unit: here the patient’s condition means we have to be prepared for treatment on the way. The crew is put together accordingly and the vehicle carries equipment for advanced care.

Domestic and international transport

We transport anywhere within Hungary, and we take on transport to other countries as well as repatriation from abroad. For an international assignment we agree the route, the border crossing, the documents needed and the place of handover in advance — so the family and the receiving institution both know what happens when.

Asking for a quote

For a transport request we ask for the following: the date of the journey, the patient’s condition in broad terms (lying or seated, whether monitoring is needed), and the exact place of departure and destination. From these we can state the level of transport and the price.
